Mongoose Books and MyCustomNovel.com came about one day when a young man sat pondering what to get his father for Christmas
The father was a penny pincher in everyway, keeping the heat very low in the winter, unscrewing lightbulbs from central lighting fixtures, and reusing the same plastic trash bags week after week. Using some imagination, the young man devised a way to commemorate the hyper-thriftiness of his father.
One December afternoon, the young man toiled long hours in a universtiy computer lab and fittingly novelized his father as Ebenezer Scrooge. He managed to get the book printed, and everyone in the family hailed the gift as creative and hilarious.
So the young man took this concept, called one of his tech-savvy friends from his freshman year at college, and together they founded Mongoose Books.
